I Will Be There

I will come for visits. You will know when I am near when the breeze stretches out and gently kisses your left cheek. Not both cheeks at the same time, but just your left cheek. It will be a subtle sign of my presence, a reminder that you are never truly alone.

In those moments, if you close your eyes and allow yourself to feel, you will find me waiting for you in the light. I will be there with open arms, ready to embrace you with all the love and warmth that you deserve. And I will not be alone.

Surrounding me will be those who have loved you throughout your life, those who have held you in their thoughts and prayers, even when you felt most lost and forgotten. They will be there, too, their faces radiant with joy and peace, eager to welcome you into their midst.

Together, we will create a space of pure love and acceptance, a sanctuary where you can rest your weary soul and find solace from the struggles of your earthly journey. In this place, there will be no judgment, no pain, no sorrow - only the boundless compassion and understanding that you have always craved.

And when the time comes for your homecoming, we will be there to guide you, to ease your transition from this world to the next. Your passage will be peaceful, a gentle slipping away from the burdens and cares that have weighed upon you for so long.

But until that day arrives, know that I will continue to visit you, to make my presence known in the soft caress of the wind upon your cheek. I will be your constant companion, your guardian and your friend, watching over you from the realm of light and love.

So, if you want me to, if you find comfort in the thought of my presence, then I will come. I will be there, in the whisper of the breeze, in the warmth of the sun on your face, in the quiet moments when your heart yearns for connection. All you need to do is welcome me, and I will be there, a reminder of the love that surrounds you, now and always.

I had hoped to meet someone during my time in Detroit since I was flying in and out from here, but weeks ago, she had told me, "Sorry, I won't be here." My heart sank.
